FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Common questions from EPC engineers and procurement teams about industrial refrigeration
What refrigerants are compatible with your industrial refrigeration units?
Our units support a range of refrigerants depending on the application: R717 (ammonia) for large-scale petrochemical and food processing, R134a and R407C for moderate-temperature applications, and hydrocarbon refrigerants (propane R290, ethylene R1150) for cascade systems in LNG/ethylene plants. Refrigerant selection is determined during the thermal design phase based on process conditions.
What is the lowest evaporating temperature your systems can achieve?
Our standard screw compressor packages reach –45°C. For ultra-low temperature applications (down to –95°C), we offer cascade refrigeration systems combining two-stage screw or screw + centrifugal configurations. These are commonly used in ethylene recovery, LNG BOG reliquefaction, and cryogenic storage.
What certifications do your refrigeration units carry?
All units are designed and manufactured to ASME BPVC (pressure vessels), PED 2014/68/EU (CE marking), and can be third-party inspected by classification societies including DNV, BV, CCS, ABS, and LR. We hold ASME U-Stamp, ISO 9001:2015, and PED Module H certifications.
How do I choose between screw and centrifugal compressor units?
Screw compressors are best for cooling capacities from 100–3,000 kW with good part-load efficiency and simple maintenance. Centrifugal units are preferred above 2,000 kW where high COP, oil-free operation, and compact footprint matter — typical in large petrochemical and LNG applications. We provide a selection guide during the proposal stage.
What is the typical lead time for a custom refrigeration package?
Standard skid-mounted units: 8–12 weeks from order confirmation. Fully custom-engineered packages (including FEED review, third-party certification, and FAT): 14–20 weeks depending on complexity and classification requirements.
Do you provide turnkey installation support or only equipment supply?
We primarily supply factory-assembled, skid-mounted packages ready for site installation. We also provide commissioning supervision, startup assistance, and training. For EPC projects, we deliver full documentation packages (GA drawings, P&IDs, data sheets, test reports) aligned with project schedules.
