Frequently Asked Questions
What types of shell-and-tube heat exchangers does Lmart manufacture?
Lmart manufactures fixed tube sheet, floating head (TEMA type S, T, P), U-tube, and kettle reboiler configurations. We cover TEMA classes R (refinery), C (general chemical), and B (chemical service). Designs are validated with HTRI software and comply with GB/T 151, ASME VIII, and API 660.
What materials are available for corrosive or seawater service?
For aggressive media we offer Hastelloy C276/C22, duplex stainless steel (2205, 2507), and titanium (TA1, TA2). For seawater condenser and cooler tubes, CuNi 70/30 and titanium are standard choices. Material selection is driven by the process datasheet and classification society requirements.
What design pressures and temperatures can Lmart handle?
Our shell-and-tube exchangers cover design pressures from vacuum to 35 MPa and operating temperatures from −196 °C (cryogenic LNG service) to 800 °C (waste heat recovery). High-pressure and high-temperature designs are manufactured under ASME BPVC Section VIII Div. 1 or Div. 2.
Does Lmart hold ASME and classification society certifications?
Yes. Lmart holds ASME U stamps, PED 2014/68/EU certification, and ISO 9001 quality management. For marine applications, we work with all major classification societies including DNV, BV, ABS, CCS, LR, NK, and KR. Certificates are included in every project vendor data book.
Can heat exchangers be delivered as skid-mounted packages?
Yes. Lmart regularly delivers heat exchangers integrated into modular skids alongside compressors, separators, and control systems. Our 103 mu campus with 50T overhead cranes handles skids up to 15,000 T/year fabrication capacity. Skid dimensions optimized for standard transport.
What is the typical lead time for a shell-and-tube heat exchanger order?
Standard units: 12–16 weeks from approved-for-manufacture drawings. Complex units with exotic materials (titanium, Hastelloy) or class-approved marine service: 16–24 weeks. Lead time is confirmed at datasheet freeze and includes hydrostatic testing and third-party inspection.
