Alma Mater Comes to Visit: Xi’an Aeronautical University Leaders Tour Lmart
On May 19, leaders from Xi’an Aeronautical University visited Lmart to see how their graduates are doing and to deepen school-enterprise cooperation.
On May 19, Lmart welcomed a lively visit: leaders and teachers from Xi’an Aeronautical University came to “visit family.” Why family? Because several of the company’s people are graduates of the university. Making Lmart the final stop of their research trip to Zhangjiagang, the school’s leaders came specially to see how their graduates are doing at work — and to talk with Lmart about how the two sides can support each other even better.
In the afternoon, Director Hua of the municipal human-resources bureau accompanied the university delegation — Party Committee Secretary Hu Hongliang, employment head Jia Zhao of the student-affairs office, and school-enterprise cooperation lead Cao Jianbo — who sat down with Lmart’s host, Zhang Lei. Joining them was Luo Hongyan, a graduate of the university now working as a technical backbone at Lmart.
A graduate who has become indispensable
Lmart’s host welcomed the delegation warmly and introduced the company’s history, core business, technical strengths and its strong need for high-calibre skilled talent. He singled out Luo Hongyan — a university graduate now serving as a non-destructive-testing film-evaluation specialist in the quality department — noting that, with solid expertise, a pragmatic work style and strong professionalism, she has become an indispensable technical asset, and that her performance is the best proof of the university’s quality of education. The teachers beamed at the words.
Seeing a student you taught doing well and thriving on a platform like Lmart — for us teachers, nothing makes us happier. We came to see our own, and to hear what enterprises really need.
Luo Hongyan looked back warmly on her time at the university, expressing gratitude for its education and for the platform the company has given her. Drawing on her own work, she offered thoughtful suggestions on strengthening school-enterprise collaboration and improving students’ engineering practice and professional readiness.
Secretary Hu Hongliang thanked Lmart for the trust and development platform it offers the university’s graduates, and shared the school’s recent progress in discipline building, talent-training models and research platforms. Alumni, he stressed, are a university’s treasure and its calling card; seeing them grow and contribute at a company like Lmart gives the school real pride. A core aim of the visit, he said, was to understand graduates’ development and to hear feedback from alumni and employers, so the university can better align its teaching with the needs of industry.
A tour of the workshop
After the discussion, the visitors put on hard hats and, accompanied by Zhang Lei and Luo Hongyan, headed straight for the unit-assembly workshop. They praised the clean workshop environment, rigorous processes, strong R&D capability and pragmatic culture, and learned about the company’s work on high-end refrigeration units, screw-compressor packages and marine BOG compressor packages.
Before leaving, both sides shook hands all the warmer: “Today we’ve become closer family — let’s keep in touch. Whenever the school has news or the company has needs, our alumni are the best link between us, and together we’ll make school-enterprise cooperation stronger.” The visit built a warmer, more solid bridge between Lmart and the university — and, with alumni ties connecting them, the road ahead looks brighter for both.
